This potato scones recipe is prepared with cheese flavor and is baked rather that cooked on a skillet. Thus has quite crisp and cheesy flavor, you may also add herbs like thyme, oregano, parsley, etc either in the dough or as topping just to give some extra flavor.
Ingredients:
4 large boiled potatoes (mashed)
1 ½ cup flour
1 egg yolk
½ cup cheddar cheese
¼ cup butter
Salt to taste
2 ½ tsp baking powder
Milk or water as required
Procedure:
1. Combine all ingredients except egg yolk and make smooth dough using milk or water.
2. After that roll out the dough to a 9-10” size and then place it on a greased baking tray.
3. Use pizza cutter or pie cutter to give some marks on the dough, then brush with egg yolk and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 25-30 mins. till become golden brown from top.
