This Slow Cooker Boneless Turkey Breast is one of the special thanksgiving meals. It is prepared in a slow cooker with very light flavors of vegetables, chicken stock, and onion soup mix. To add some extra flavor you may also stuff the turkey breast with spinach filling or wild rice and beans filling.
Ingredients:
1 boneless turkey breast with skin
5 tbsp butter (softened)
1 oz dry onion soup mix
1 celery stalk (chopped)
1 carrot (peeled and chopped)
Salt and black pepper to taste
¼ cup chicken broth
Procedure:
1. Combine butter and dry onion soup mix and rub this mixture thoroughly over and under the skin of the turkey breast.
2. Grease the slow cooker from the inside, place carrots and celery at the bottom, then pour chicken broth all over the vegetables and then place marinated turkey breast on it.
3. Cover, and cook on High setting for 1 hour, then set to Low, and cook for 7-8 hrs. or until meat internal temperature reaches 165°F.
4. Then remove the cooker from heat, transfer the turkey breast onto the serving platter, and let it cool for 10 mins. then cut it into slices and serve with cooked vegetables.
This recipe doesn’t give the size of turkey breast which I’m pretty sure would affect the cooking time. ???
Definitely! The cooking time varies according to the size and quantity.
